Earth or Land Art
Artistic trend that occurred in late 1960 and early 1970. The artworks, often monumental, executed using digging machines and always resulting in working with natural processes, "executed" usually in remote areas (for example, the Spiral jetty of R. Smithson with length 457 m. into the Great Salty Lake of Utah, in 1970). Many times these projects are presented in photographic reproduction and indeed, due to their scale, on aerial photographs.
