Mongol dynasty of China (1260-1368) and one of the most fertile periods of Chinese art. The painter, Chien Hsu (about 1235-after 1300) was the "pioneer" of returning to archaic styles (for example, the Tang period). The sceneries of Chao Meng-fu combine the respect towards the ancient tradition -using the technique of Forgotten Masters, of the period of Sung in touch- with the originality in the use of color and spontaneity. The example of Chao Meng-fu was followed by "four Masters' Huang Kung Wang (1269-1354), whose survived the great work “Living in Mountains Fu-Chun”, the Ni Tsan (1301-1374), whose simple and polite style copied much later, the Wu Chen (1280-1354) and Wang Med (died 1385).
