Florence School
Apart from the fact that the history of the European painting essentially begins with the Florentine Giotto, the golden age of Florence as a center of arts, covers the 15th and the 16th century, with special moments the works of artists such as Masaccio, Fra Angelico, Botticelli, Donatello, Ghiberti, Brunelleschi, Michel-Ange, etc. The principal characteristics of the Florentine painting are the strong interest for the form and line, in contrast to the emphasis on the color which characterizes the Venice School.
