YIANNIS ADAMAKIS was born in Piraeus, Greece, in 1959.
He combined studies in Economics and Painting.
His works are in many private collections in Greece and abroad, in the collection of
the National- Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the collection of the U.S.A.
Embassy in Athens, in the Municipal Galleries of Athens, Agrinion, Kalamata and the
“Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art” in Thessaloniki.
He is a member of the “Greek Chamber of Visual Arts” where was elected twice a
member of the “Judgment and Classification Committee”.
From 1989 until 1999 was an Art teacher in Keratsini Municipality Art studio (adults
groups). At the same period became a member of the Municipality Cultural
Committee, and Municipal advisor in Cultural Issues.
Texts of his are published in newspapers, magazines and Art catalogues.
