Special Information for the Artist
She graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and the Athens School of Fine Arts (1982-1993), where she attended initially classes in sculpture under D. Kalamaras and then in painting under T. Patraskidis and mosaic, under I. Valavanidis. Her work is a study of the human figure in relation to space and the interrelationship of human bodies. Painting with pencil, charcoal, oil paint and vinyl, she studies the reaction of the external light in relation to the interior. She has presented her work in solo ("Maria Papadopoulou", 1996) and in group exhibitions. She is a member of EETE.
