Self-taught in Constantinople he studied briefly near the Italian painter F. Zonaro. In 1893, he came to Athens and worked on hagiography. He was a contributor to the journal “Gallery” and a founding member and General Secretary of the Greek Art Society, (1905). His themes are portraits, mythological compositions with religious content and genre painting, all influenced by academic tendencies.

and won a gold medal.
His works can be found at the University of Athens, Averof Gallery, the Municipal Gallery of Athens, in the Koutlidis collection and EPMAS.
