Poet and artist, with special interest in set design, he was representative of surrealist painting in Greece. He studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Parthenis, Biskinis and Kefallinos; and learned Byzantine art with Fotis Kontoglou. He continued his studies in Munich, Florence, Rome and Ravenna and travelled widely in order to round out his contacts with the currents and quests of the time.
