Special Information for the Artist
He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1954). In 1961 he went to Paris, afterwards in N. America where he worked during 1961-1962 and since 1963 he went to N. America where he settled permanently in N. York. As a painter and sculptor of dissemination as he was, is distinguished for the essential difference that he presents between the sculptures and his painting. In his sculpture he is substantially distract from the traditional types, while his painting develops a safety in the climate of newer currents and is distinguished for his personal formulations. He has presented his work individually (Nees Morfes 1974, Del Valentino Galery N.Yorki 1976, KochliasThessalonica 1980, Ellinoamerikaniki Union 1980, 1982, 1984, Maliotis Cultural Center, Brooklyn Massachusetts 1981, Art Expo N. York 1983, Argo 1986, Zygos Washington 1987, Kouros N.Yorki 1988, Embassy of Greece, N. York 1992, Museum Borre 1994) and has taken part in group exhibitions as well. He is member of EETE.
