Special Information for the Artist
Georgios Nikas was born in Athens in 1973.
He studied in England at «Birmingham Polytechnic - University of Central England in Birmingham» and at the Athenian Artistic and Technological Group, Industrial Design Products under the supervision of Andreas Varotsos, Thanassis Moutsopoulos and Manos Stefanidis.
He was awarded the first prize by the National Union of Designers, for best design concept in the first nationwide contest. He completed the postgraduate studies as a graduate of the program «MA in Design» London «Middlesex» University with distinction after having worked in Athens on Thesis based on a part of Ioannis Xenakis' revolutionary work on the design of digital music through Painting , Design and Moving Image («video»).
Georgios Nikas is a multifaceted artist, who is engaged in different forms of Design and Art.
He has held solo exhibitions and has participated in group primarily since 2001 up today in Greece, Spain (Madrid, «DEARTE 2008»), and Italy (Bolzano, «kunStart 08»), in cooperation with the «Galeria Gaudi» ( Madrid).
