Special Information for the Artist
Stefanos Rokos was born in Athens in 1977. He attended his first classes of drawing, colour and History of Art under Kyriakos Rokos, Roubina Sarelakou and Yiannis Papaioannou, and later at Nikos Stefos' workshop.
Academic Studies
1995-2000: Studies painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the workshop of Triantafyllos Patraskidis. At the same time, he attends classes of engraving at the workshop of Giorgos Milios.
1999: Attends classes of lithography at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Αrts in Paris, in the workshop of Michel Potier, within the European program "Erasmus".
2001-2002: Degree of Master of Arts, MΑ: Print from the Wimbledon School of Art in London.
Prizes - Awards
2009: Merit EVGE 09 - cover book illustration.
2005: Scholarship by the State Scholarships Foundation (Ι.Κ.Υ.) for the production of artistic work.
2002: Award by I.K.Y. for the year 1999-2000 (senior year in the Athens School of Fine Arts).
2001: Scholarship by the "Propontis" foundation for a Master's Degree in Fine Arts.
2002: The "ΤΝ Lawrence Materials Prize", National Print Exhibition, the MALL Galleries, London.
2000: One of his prints is selected after a competition for the international airport El. Venizelos.
2000: 1st Prize for Engraving in the 3rd Meeting of New Artists organized by the “Vakalo” School of Art & Design.
