Argostoli Kefalonia 1878 - Athens 1960
Greek painter from the last representatives of the "Munich School". With the help of the then Archbishop of Athens German, studied painting at the School of Fine Arts, taught by Nikiforos Lytras and Spyridon Prosalendis. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich near Nikolaos Gizis and Ludwig von Loft (Ludwig von Löfftz). In 1903 , received the silver medal and a prize in a drawing competition. On his return to Greece, he taught at the School of Fine Arts from 1909 until 1940. His works are mostly portraits and genre painting to reveal the influence of German academicism, but the Flemish School, 17th century.
