Special Information for the Artist
The painter Eleni Zongolopoulou, wife of sculptor Georgios Zongolopoulos was born in Modi in Minor Asia in 1909. In 1933 she studied art at the Supreme School of Fine Arts under the teaching instructions of K. Parthenis and in 1949 she studied at the workshop of André Lhote in Paris. In 1953 she gets a scholarship to study fresco painting in Academia di Belle Arti in Florence. She participated in all the Panhellenic Exhibitions until 1965, as well as in many personal and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She was a member of the Société Européenne de Culture. She died in Athens in 1992. Her works can be found in many private and public collections.
