He studied at the School of Arts and in 1902 he visited Mount Athos where he became apprentice in the Monastery of Iossafaion. He went to Russia where and studied the modern Russian hagiography. He taught in high schools of Sparta. He also taught in America Byzantinology and history of art in College of the City at N. York. He presented his work in individual exhibitions and in 1938 a retrospective report was organized for his work in the room Stratigopoyloy. He took part in many group exhibitions. He published studies on Byzantine monuments and post Byzantine art.
